Dwelling shops, sheds, or out buildings of any kind
All temporary dwelling shops, sheds or out buildings of any kind (a "structure") must meet or exceed all City of Flower Mound and Denton County building codes. Further, the structure may be placed on a lot only behind a closed fence in a place where no more than ten percent (10%) of the structure is visible from the center of the street in front of the homeowner's house. Such non-visibility requirement will not apply to structures which are built out of like materials as the homeowner's home (minimum 90% brick matching the color of homeowner's home; up to 10 percent siding matching the homeowner's or other Pecan Meadows homes; and roofing materials matching that of all of the homes in Pecan Meadows).
Owners wishing to construct any type of structure must submit a formal request to the Pecan Meadows Board of Directors (the "Board") for review and approval a minimum of thirty days prior to any work being started. (architectural request forms are available on this web site under documents) The Board may request additional information from the homeowner, such as drawings, photos, plot plans, etc. No metal sheds will be considered. Any structure which is erected pursuant to the criteria herein must be maintained in a like-new condition for so long as the homeowner keeps such structure on his/her property. The board may grant waivers to the criteria set forth herein in extraordinary circumstances which shall be determined by the board.

With this in mind, I would like to provide you with helpful information that will assist in promoting a smooth transition. This information will include details relative to the removal of old receptacles and the delivery of new ones as well as the services that will be provided.
The Town of Flower Mound has created the attached documents (Go to our "Documents" page to view) to answer most questions. However, the town knows that you might think of something they did not. Therefore, please contact the town anytime at 972-539-SERV (7378). Most of this information is also available at http://www.flower-mound.com/trash2011/index.php. The Town is also disseminating information via FMTV, Facebook, Twitter, and direct mail pieces. Due to the large amount of polycarts that have to be picked up and delivered, there will be flexibility given to homeowners regarding the amount of time that carts will be curbside and visible during the transition period of September 24th through October 2nd. The Town will instruct their Code Enforcement division to extend this courtesy as well.
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
